DIZPOT Hosts Give Back Party for Tom’s Palms

Even with being an international cannabis packaging and technology company, DIZPOT has always made an effort to never lose sight of its local roots here in Phoenix, Arizona. With that in mind, DIZPOT’s core values include Old School Service, No Hesitation, and the Golden Rule. The “Golden Rule” that we use in and outside of work is: do unto others as you would them do to you.

On Saturday, April 16, DIZPOT and its community of employees, friends, clients, and family came together for music, food, games, and most importantly, to collect items for Tom’s Palms. Tom’s Palms is a non-profit that provides around 1,000 meals, toiletries, clothes, and other donations every 2 months to the homeless community in Phoenix. The group became a non-profit after being told they would need to have the proper paperwork to give out food. Local dispensary, Nature’s Medicines, has led the charge to involve the cannabis community in these efforts.

Now the non-profit is backed by many of the Valley’s leading cannabis companies. Our own packaging and technology company supports efforts for each event either through donation collection, volunteer support, and even monetarily. Most recently, our team hosted a give-back event named Paper & Purses. Attendees were asked to bring a 4 pack of toilet paper, new or gently used purses, totes, and sneakers.

Once inside the event guests could vibe to great music, dancing, great bites and over 18 vendors bringing the entire cannabis community together in one spot. Vendors included High GradeThe Pink ReefOMGgoudnessJazpaintz, Hot Box by Owl, The Bud CardNug JewelzCannaPaint, OOO so Jucee, Beautiful ASAP, Krazy Konez, Blended Entertainment aka Blended Highlife, Secret Buddy, Mary Kay, Mary Jane Smokewear, and Canna Mobb.

Spooks Tattooss was gracious enough to raffle off a 4-hour session that is valued at $600. Canvas Face Paintings also did a live Betty Boop Painting at the event that was raffled off.  Through the help of the community, we were able to fill three trucks with goods for those who are homeless and in need.
