John Hartsell joins the Valley Metro Committee
John Hartsell, Co-Founder of DIZPOT, a single-source, compliant packaging partner for Cannabis dispensaries and brands, joins the Valley Metro Committee.
Phoenix, AZ (Nov. 3, 2020) — DIZPOT Co-founder, John Hartsell, joins the Valley Metro Committee as a member of the Construction Advisory Board (CAB). The role of CAB members during the construction is to serve as liaisons between the Northwest Extension Phase II light rail project contractor and affected residential and business owners. Phase II of the Northwest Extension will extend the light rail west on Dunlap Avenue from 19th Avenue, then north on 25th Avenue and across I-17 on Mountain View Road with a terminus on the west side of the freeway near Metrocenter Mall.
The CAB will evaluate the contractor’s performance related to public outreach, response to issues, traffic management, and property restoration. The evaluation from the CAB meetings will be totaled to determine the amount, if any, awarded to the contractor at the conclusion of each review period.

Hartsell and the other CAB members will have direct input on this project and how the construction activities are affecting the community.
Hartsell will be joining the CAB orientation meeting on December 15th to get more involved in the project and to take on his roll. “I’m excited to join my fellow board members to stimulate an economic boost that surely will come through this project,” says Hartsell. Over 50,000 riders rely on the light rail each day, proving to generate a great economic climate for underserved communities in metro Phoenix.
Business assistance programming will begin in late-November with an online Business Owners Forum being held on November 12. The Forum, as well as any updates, will be available on the project website.
